**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and ensure the delivery of the operational aspects of the supply function for the HMAS Watson and the Australian Navy. The operating hours for this position are 0730 to 1600 Monday to Friday however during extensive training periods support may be required outside of these hours.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare purchase orders
- Receive store and issue goods
- Manage stores and distribute supplies from stock
- Maintain stock records using manual or computerised systems
- Prepare inventories
- Responsible for cross checking supply invoices against purchase orders
- Prepare reports on adjustments to inventories, damaged stock and changes in stock location
- Find sources of supply and obtain quotes from suppliers
- Coordinate purchasing, warehousing and inventory functions
- Dispose surplus assets and obsolete stock
- Adhere to the ADF & Serco value system, Code of Conduct and rules aboard HMAS WATSON.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Must be an Australian Citizen and currently hold or can obtain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
- Experience in finding sourcing of supply and obtaining quotes from suppliers.
- Knowledge of preparing purchase orders
- Proven success in a supply/logistics role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- High level of ability to use the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to produce high quality work within tight timeframes.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience within Defence Industry, preferably as a Royal Australian Navy supplier.
- At least one year logistic / purchasing experience.
- Certificate / Diploma in Logistic or Commercial Purchasing
- Understanding of ADF contractual agreements and processes.
