**Marvellous Before and Afterschool Nanny, Bridgeman Downs (QLD)**

**Nanny Start Date**: 7 July 2025 (or immediate start if available)
**Pay Rate**: _Up to_ **$40 per hour + superannuation**+ leave entitlements
**Contract Type**: Permanent Part-Time

**Schedule**:

- Additional hours available during school holidays
- Up to **4 days per week**:

- **2 mornings** and **2 afternoons** on separate days
**OR**

**Shift times**:

- **Morning**: 7:00am-9:00am (before school)
- **Afternoon**: 1:00pm-6:00pm (after school)

**About the Family**:
This warm and active professional family has a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl and a long history of working with nannies.
- The 6-year-old boy is a gentle, thoughtful boy who enjoys insects, bike riding, soccer, and scooter adventures. He’s in prep, receives speech support, and sometimes needs emotional reassurance, especially during school drop-offs. He manages a cat allergy well and may occasionally require antihistamines.
- His younger sister, 4 years old is in pre-prep. She is bright, energetic and full of personality She loves dancing, learning new things, and getting stuck into imaginative games. She thrives on attention and engagement.

Together, the kids enjoy scooter and bike rides to the nearby creek, swimming, running races in the backyard and jumping on the trampoline. The family lives on acreage with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to play — rain or shine They also have two cats and a dog.

**What We’re Looking For**:
We’re looking for a **high-energy, proactive and patient nanny** who understands how to support two children with different personalities and bring them together through shared play and teamwork. You'll need to be confident managing emotional regulation, bring a calm and creative approach to routines, and naturally build strong connections with both kids and parents.
- Have experience with multiple children aged 4-6
- Be confident in solo care and managing daily transitions
- Know how to make afternoons playful, purposeful and structured
- Bring firm but gentle behaviour management and clear boundaries
- Be over 25 years old (for insurance on the family vehicle)
- Be available for **extra hours during school holidays**:

- Commit for a **minimum of 12 months (ideally longer)**

**Daily Routines**:
**Morning Routine (7:30am-9:00am)**:

- Arrive and assist with breakfast
- Support both children with brushing teeth and getting dressed
- Pack school bags, check essentials (hats, water bottles, etc.)
- Help regulate emotions and manage smooth school drop-offs
- Return home to:

- Hang out a load of laundry
- Unload/load dishwasher or tidy kitchen
- Light household tasks as needed
- Prep dinner (Possible - HelloFresh or simple meals like meat, veg and rice/ spag bol)

**Afternoon Routine (2:30/3:00pm-6:00pm)**:

- Pick up the family vehicle
- Collect children from two nearby schools
- Provide afternoon tea (often in the car)
- Transport to extracurriculars as required:

- Martial arts (Tuesday afternoons at PCYC)
- Soccer training (Tuesday evenings)
- After-school fun:

- Take the kids to the park or creek
- Encourage scooter riding, backyard games, or imaginative indoor play
- Serve dinner around 5:30pm
- Assist with bath/shower and get the kids into pyjamas
- Tidy kitchen and play areas, prep veggies for lunchboxes (if time allows)
- Please note: No homework help is currently required. No swimming is permitted during care hours due to safety concerns._

**Must-Haves**:

- Blue Card / Police Check
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Two professional references
- Valid open driver’s licence with family vehicle provided (automatic - nanny must be 25+ for insurance)
- No phone use during care hours
- **Willing to commit for at least 12 months**
