**Job Title: Support Worker for Social Outings**

**Location**: Sunshine Coast, QLD

**JOB IS IN BARINGA**

Are you compassionate, outgoing, and looking to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? We are currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to accompany our client, a lovely individual residing in the Sunshine Coast area. Our client, originally from NZ and now residing in Australia, is seeking assistance to explore and enjoy her local surroundings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accompany our client on outings such as coffee dates, lunches, and club social events.
- Assist with mobility using a wheelie walker and wheelchair for longer distances.
- Offer companionship and ensure our client's safety and comfort during outings.
- Be attentive to our client's needs and offer assistance as required due to her cognitive decline.
- Monitor our client's well-being, especially considering her high blood pressure and Thyroid problems.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in aged care or disability support preferred.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to assist with mobility aids and provide personal care with sensitivity and respect.
- Understanding of health conditions such as high blood pressure and Thyroid problems is advantageous.

**Additional Information**:

- Currently the daughter handles our client's showering needs, so the focus of this role is on social support and companionship during outings, but if this is something you can assist with then that would be great.
- The role offers an opportunity to explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast while making a positive impact on our client's life.

**Salary**: $34.86 - $38.80 per hour
