Pink Ribbon Community Supports Australia is seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker for a regular weekly position supporting an adult client in their home and community.
**About Us**
We're a proud, community-driven organisation specialising in in-home care, transport and community engagement for people with disabilities across the Sunshine Coast. Our unique blend of social work, mentoring, and lifestyle management services ensures our participants receive the best possible care and support.
**The Role**
This is a regular weekly support role providing personalised one-on-one support to enable community participation, independence and quality of life. You'll have the opportunity to work with the same client on a weekly basis, building a meaningful professional relationship and providing:
- Personal care assistance as required
- Support with domestic tasks and daily living activities
- Community access and social participation
- Transport support (client has own vehicle)
- Assistance with health and wellness routines
- Advocacy and emotional support
**Position Details**:
- **Schedule**: One shift per week (day and duration to be discussed)
- **Location**: Sunshine Coast region
- **Support Type**: Individual 1:1 support
- **Employment Type**: Casual position with regular weekly opportunity
**We're Looking For Someone Who**:
- Values consistency and building meaningful professional relationships
- Demonstrates genuine empathy, patience, and understanding
- Has experience supporting adults with neurological conditions (preferred but not essential)
- Can work independently while maintaining professional boundaries
- Lives locally and understands our community
- Is reliable and committed to regular attendance
- Has knowledge of seizure first aid or willingness to complete training
**Essential Requirements**:
- Own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete)
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support (Disability) or related field
- Experience in disability support services
- Understanding of person-centred approaches
- Seizure first aid training (training can be provided)
