About Proston K - 10 State School
Proston K - 10 State School is located in a rural area in the South Burnett region 280km north-west of Brisbane. Proston K - 10 State School caters for students from Kindy to Year 10 with current enrolment numbers at 123 students.
About the Role
The Head of Department - Student Services will support the development and implementation of initiatives to support improved educational outcomes for students including support for a diverse range of learners.
This will include development of quality teaching and learning through nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and community, and the provision of support strategies for students with challenging learning and engagement needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
Develop and implement support and intervention strategies where necessary.
Communicate and work with stakeholders and external agencies to develop strategies to improve learning outcomes, student wellbeing and engagement.
Lead and develop programs that promote student wellbeing and engagement.
Work with and provide tools for the school leadership team, Head of Departments, Year Level Coordinators, Guidance Officers and teachers to utilise in relation to student achievement and attendance.
