About ECHO
ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly and people living with disability to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.
We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and NDIS clients and 5 days per week for CHSP.
Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same support worker which means that you know the person who is coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support worker providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the person attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.
**Description**:
The roles involve providing aid to the elderly, including the area of domestic assistance (household cleaning) and is especially suited to someone who is wanting to gain hands-on experience in the aged care or disability sectors within a thriving and supportive workplace. ECHO provides salary packaging, first aid training, as well as a travel allowance for distance incurred between client appointments.
**Skills and Experiences**:
(Part-time work available, students welcome)
Ideally we require people willing and available to work between the hours of 9.00 am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Driver’s licence, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current satisfactory police clearance.
- Certificate III in Age Care / Individual Support. We do have positions available for non-qualified as well
- Previous experience in household cleaning and laundry.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to uphold high standards of work.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Possess a “can do” attitude
ECHO is willing to work with you in term of the available hours you have to offer.
**Work Hours**: Flexible approach to work across 7 days for AM and PM shifts is essential to support operational needs.
**ECHO can offer you**:
- Travel allowance of $0.80 cents per kilometre and travel time between clients.
