Medical Receptionist

Mornington Peninsula’ and Bayside’s multi-disciplinary mental health provider providing Psychiatry, Psychology, Dietetics and Mental Health Social Work - we have a team of 24 Clinicians that all work together to provide exceptional patient care.
This is an administration role, with opportunities for training and development to progress within our team to more senior positions.
Previous medical reception experience will be highly regarded but not essential - we are more so looking for someone with a positive attitude, a can do approach, a demonstrated love of providing exceptional customer service and a high attention to detail.
You will be responsible for:
- Booking, taking payment, rescheduling, confirming and notifying patients’ appointments
- Greeting and liaising with patients and their families in a caring and compassionate manner
- Supporting our Clinicians to ensure the smooth running of the practice
- Patient billing and end of day banking
- Scanning and updating all patient related correspondence and results
- Distributing patient letters
- Other general reception and administrative duties
You will also possess the following:
- Excellent time management and ability to multi-task
- Professional telephone manner and impeccable presentation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and work to changing priorities
- Enthusiastic manner and desire to learn
- Experience using MS office products

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (required)
