Assistant, Liability Claims Administration

**The Role**
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution to IAG’s purpose is to provide various effective administrative support activities to the Liability Claims team to enable the team to deliver efficient claims services within established service standards.
This is a permanent full-time position, and is open to both Melbourne and Perth locations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Triage of new claims to correct area/segment.
- Provide telephone support and general administrative assistance to the claims department to support the delivery of end to end claims processes within agreed service standards.
This includes:
- Assisting with customers queries
- Receipting Excesses into CCv8
- General administration responsibilities for the Liability Claims team as requested, including generating standard letters from CCv8
- Managing inbound phone calls to the general Liability Claims number including assessing if the call needs to be diverted to a different part of the business
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
- Positively contribute to the Culture at IAG by consistently role modelling appropriate behaviours always, and imbedding the IAG spirit Closer, Braver and Faster.
- Contribute, improve and maintain team goals, targets and objectives.
**Skills & Experience**
- At least 2 years’ office Administrative experience
- Ability to complete a high volume of tasks within specified timeframes
- Exceptional keyboard, organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously within a close team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to navigate websites and databases
- General understanding of casualty claims
**Desired experience**
- Experience within the client administration field with relevance to a customer service team i.e. insurance, professional services, client management or sales
- Experience within data entry-centric roles
