**The Client**:
Our client is a statutory authority established to administer a portable long service leave scheme for eligible workers in the building and construction, contract cleaning and community service industries.

The General Manager reports to the Minister for Education, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Racing through a Board of Directors in respect of each portable long service leave scheme. The Authority is governed by three Acts and is responsible for over $1bn of funds under investment.

The client operates with Board governance, which provides the financial skills necessary to ensure the longevity of the schemes and includes employer and employee representatives.

**About the Role**:
This position reports to the Supervisor, Eligibility Compliance and has no supervisory responsibilities. As Compliance Eligibility Officer, you will monitor and action a structured compliance plan, aiming to improve the levels of voluntary compliance. You will also work closely with the Supervisor Eligibility Compliance and Senior Compliance Eligibility Officers to identify workers and employers in both the building and construction industry and the contract cleaning industry to encourage workers to maintain their service information and working with employers to ensure they complete the registration process

and lodge their returns on-time. Monitoring non-compliance and proactively communicating with workers to encourage a high level of compliance is key in this role.

- Demonstrate experience, or the ability to acquire the knowledge, in conducting audits on a duty holder’s regulatory compliance
- Investigate compliance issues
- Identify and implement improvements to internal processes
- Work flexibly to support a team
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner using multiple channels
- Have, or can quickly acquire, detailed knowledge of the building and construction industry

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. Practical experience in compliance activities or conducting administrative audits will be favourably regarded.
