**The Client**:
Our client is a statutory authority established to administer a portable long service leave scheme for eligible workers in the building and construction, contract cleaning and community service industries.
The General Manager reports to the Minister for Education, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Racing through a Board of Directors in respect of each portable long service leave scheme. The Authority is governed by three Acts and is responsible for over $1bn of funds under investment.
The client operates with Board governance, which provides the financial skills necessary to ensure the longevity of the schemes and includes employer and employee representatives.
**About You**:
This employer appointments are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously—the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities.
- Provide quality end user support in enterprise system environment with a focus on customer service
- Ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of the employer’s operations, standards and work processes
- Autonomy to perform a variety of day to day maintenance and support services that are routine in nature and directed by Business Systems Officers tasks with a strong attention to detail
- Engage with clients in order to manage or contribute to a range of System projects to improve system functionality and user experience
- Plan a body of work, prioritise tasks, monitor progress and meet deadlines
- Respond to stakeholder needs and expectations and ensure the relevant people are kept informed of progress, risk and issues
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience in information technology and systems or qualifications in Information Technology will be favourably regarded.
**About the Role**:
- Receive requests from clients, diagnose and resolve where possible or assign to appropriate ITI team member and be accountable for monitoring and follow-up action
- Follow change control procedures, working with the business and other ITI team members to ensure changes are applied within appropriate business timeframes adhering to change policy
- Consult and liaise with clients and support vendors to identify system issues, requirements and provide advice and support to staff in maintaining business and IT systems
- Develop and maintain effective documentation for user practice and change control procedures
- Support and assist the ITI team in implementing projects, business process improvements, and business continuity and disaster recovery activities
- Maintain effective working relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and commitment to ethical behaviour and the employer’s values
- Builds and sustains relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes
**Your Immediate Focus will be to**:
- Undertake first tier help desk services to the employer’s client base for the support of Business and IT systems such as CRM, ERP and O365 systems
- Update and maintain support resources including system user guides, Wiki’s, templates etc
- Assist in the deployment of system updates and patches in consultation with relevant stakeholders
- Assist with undertaking the employer’s digital transformation and innovation initiatives including the delivery of Digital, Data and ICT roadmaps
- Provide support to ITI staff & Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when providing system training for the key user groups
