Your opportunity:
We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for an Operations Hub Enablement Officer to join our Operations Hub team until January 2026, providing coverage during parental leave.

The Operations Hub team is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operational performance of our water and wastewater network. This includes safeguarding the safety of our staff and customers, protecting public health, delivering an exceptional customer experience, minimising long-term costs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and safe drinking water standards.

As the Operations Hub Enablement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing uniform, standardised, and repeatable processes that engage employees, harness technology, and foster continuous improvement. Your work will drive operational resilience, continuity, and performance. This includes empowering Operations Hub shift teams to achieve continuous improvement through process mapping, development, and training in areas such as simultaneous operations, permitting, operational process control, water quality and distribution, environmental performance, and delivering superior customer experiences.

A critical aspect of this role involves change management, where you will coordinate and deliver strategic projects spanning all Operations Hub functions. These projects may include system updates and changes (e.g., Urban Access, Genesys, Confluence), process improvements, and compliance initiatives.

Success in this role will be measured by how well Operational Hub shift team teams are enabled to capably execute day to day operations, resulting in high performance and consistent results across environmental, water quality, water distribution and customer experience key results areas.

About you:
- Accreditation or experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TOC.- Proven experience in developing training programs and training and coaching on operational activities, ideally supported by a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.- Demonstrated experience in the water industry or a similar field, with expertise in operational processes.- Degree or certificate in Water Industry Operations, Engineering, Science, Business, or equivalent experience (preferred).- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
