About the roleWe are now looking for a Mechanical Leading Hand to join the maintenance team at our Mungari Operations, 28km from central Kalgoorlie.
Our Leading Hands are accountable for ensuring the safety and quality of all maintenance work, both scheduled and breakdowns. They work closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners to ensure the reliability and availability of our fleet of mostly Sandvik underground mobile equipment. This includes: DD421 jumbos, Atlas longhole drills, LH517i loaders and TH663i/TH551i trucks, along with standard underground auxiliary gear.

About you
- 5+ years’ experience in mobile plant maintenance within an underground mining environment is a must
- Trade qualified (S1, S2, S3)
- Proven and strong experience dealing with senior stakeholders and building relationships at all levels.
- Experience coaching and mentoring tradespeople
- Experience in developing JSA and personal risk assessments
- OEM Sandvik training would be highly regarded.
