- *Please note this is a 3 year fixed term role*- About the role- We are on the hunt for three Planning and Environment Specialists who will be responsible for providing expert advice to the wider organisation around planning and environmental matters impacting the delivery of all LXRP's program of works.- On a day-to-day basis, in the positions might find yourself:
- Liaising with our project teams, as well as our communications team on planning and environmental issues/risks.
- Developing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with a range of different stakeholders
- including DTP, DEECA, EPA, Heritage Victoria, VicTrack and DCCEEW.
- Oversee and undertake the preparation of planning and environmental approvals process and utilising legislation relevant to the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
- This is a 3 year fixed term position, paying a salary between $105,479 to $127,621 + superannuation + 17.5% leave loading, with a hybrid working arrangement (a mix of CBD or Footscray office and home working).- What are the differing factors of the three positions?- Based in the CBD, one role will focus more on reviewing and interpreting the Victorian planning scheme. Reporting to the Senior Planning and Environment Specialist who brings a wealth of statutory planning experience from both the private and public sector, one position will focus on reviewing and interpreting the Victorian Planning Scheme.- Based in the CBD, the second position, reporting to the Senior Cultural Heritage & Aboriginal Engagement Adviser who brings a background in archaeology and extensive environment exposure within the major transport industry, will have a significant focus on the planning and environment approvals process.-
- About you- You will have sound knowledge of the Victorian planning and environment approvals process and proven experience utilising relevant legislation within a major project environment. Furthermore, strong stakeholder management skills are essential to these roles as you liaise and navigate complex planning and environment issues with a wide range of internal and external clients.- We'd also love if you have:
- Demonstrated experience in preparing planning, heritage, and environmental approvals documentation.
- Strong knowledge of priorities, polices and processes at all levels of government.
- The ability to communicate effectively and influence outcomes - you will be collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
