**About the Role**
As a **Rail Network Modelling Intern**, you’ll be involved in critical projects that will shape the future of V/Line's service planning and rail network operations. You’ll gain practical, hands-on experience with advanced rail modelling systems and contribute to the development of strategic service plans that improve the way we move people across Victoria.

**_ Key responsibilities include:_**
- **Rail Network Planning**: Contribute to the design and development of V/Line’s strategic service plans and future network configurations.
- **Data Analysis**: Collect, collate, and analyse operational data to inform planning decisions.
- **Modelling and Simulation**: Support the validation and testing of RailSys models, ensuring data integrity and model accuracy.
- **Collaborative Projects**: Work with a multi-disciplinary team of experts, contributing to the development of innovative decision-support tools and operational simulations.

**About You**
- Be completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Have experience with quantitative analysis and data-driven problem solving.
- Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills (programming experience is a plus).
- Have strong communication skills to present findings and collaborate effectively with a team.
