Chandler Macleod is looking for and experienced Commodity Analyst to join our client a well-known and respected brand within the mining industry. The Commodity Analyst reports to the Senior Commodity Analyst and supports across key areas of the Commodity Management framework of strategy, execution, and performance which supports the category leads to manage their assigned commodities (and categories).

Key Responsibilities

Supports the category teams to analyse and understand the demands, needs, and spend requirements of the business and works to support commodity/category management strategies that are consistent with the global commodity strategies and requirements.

Key Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management or Finance or related discipline
- Professional certification: CIPS, CPM, APICS, P.E. would be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Procurement or Commercial role.
- Strong skills and expertise in Microsoft Applications, data mining, analytical and query tools.
- A sound working knowledge of Procurement and business processes, out of box thinking and initiative.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain influential relationships with stakeholder.
- Strong time management skills, capacity to multi-task and work autonomously with little direct supervision.
