Full Time Opportunity
As Head of Design, you will play a critical role in our Product Engineering team, partnering with other leaders to engage stakeholders throughout the business in establishing a robust user experience design practice that permeates through everything we do.
**You will**:
- Develop and communicate a compelling user-centred design vision and strategy
- Mentor and coach your team to help integrate this design consistently and efficiently to meet business objectives
- Champion design excellence, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity and innovation
- Contribute to product discovery
- Work as part of the Product Engineering leadership team to embed a product-led culture across the company
- Act as design advocate with the organisation, promoting the value of design and influencing key stakeholders to support design initiatives
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Strong experience as a leader in the design space
- Proven experience in a senior design leadership role, preferably as a 'head of' or similar, in a product centric organisation
- Demonstrable experience in product discovery and understanding of the end-to-end life cycle in a product centric organisation and how effective design can influence this
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual and interaction design, service design, user research and creating design systems
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, particularly with regard to working cross-functionally and with executive leaders
- Highly developed leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in leading a team of UX designers
- Strong familiarity with the Life Insurance industry (desirable)
