**Increasing demand for renewable energy connections across QLD is resulting in a period of exponential growth for Powerlink. To meet this demand, we need to increase our most important resource, our workforce, and as such have multiple new Operations Engineering Officer positions available**

**About the role**:
As Operations Engineering Officer, you will play a part in ensuring the Queensland transmission network is operated in an economic, safe, secure and reliable manner, and is compliant with Powerlink policy, procedure and National Electricity Rules (NER). The Operations Engineering Officer role is varied and dynamic, where no day is the same.

You will provide data stewardship and technical systems administrative services to the Network Operations team, including maintaining the currency of transmission data, providing data to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) accurately and in a timely manner, as well as scoping, testing, implementing and providing support for IT technologies.

**About you**:
If you haven’t already completed your Advanced Diploma qualification but have the relevant skills, we can support you with progress towards completion of this.

You have strong communication, time management and prioritisation skills, along with an understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM), National Electricity Rules (NER) and other commercial and legislative contracts that affect Powerlink as a service provider to the NEM.
