Security Officer

**A 12-month maternity cover opportunity** has become available in our Business Delivery team within our Bupa ADF Health Services Contract reporting into Director of Business Delivery, ADF HS.

As the Security Officer & Advisor you will be responsible for providing security leadership, influence and operational security delivery for the ADF Health Services team to ensure our ADF Workforce are job ready and compliant.

This can be a fully remote, work from home position or based out of any of our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office locations.

**Please note you must currently hold NV1 security clearance to be successful in this role.**

**How will I help?
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- Act on behalf of the CSO (Chief Security Officer) across all areas of ADF HS security
- Support DISP (Defence Information Security Program) activities and ongoing IRAP (Information security Registered Assessors Program) activities and Bupa ADF’s compliance to the ISM (Information Security Manual)
- Ensure sensitive and classified materials are safeguarded
- Maintain Bupa’s Designated Security Assessed Position (DSAP) list and Bupa’s Security Register
- Manage personnel security clearance requests and report on change of circumstances and vulnerabilities of clearance holders
- Ensure sensitive and classified materials are safeguarded
- Maintain Bupa’s Designated Security Assessed Position (DSAP) list as well as Bupa’s Security Register
- Report security incidents and fraud incidents
- Drive the security behaviour agenda and uplift the security culture across ADF HS

**What do I need?**
- ** You must currently hold NV1 security clearance to be successful in this role**:

- Prior experience as a Security Officer, ideally within a Defence Contract will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills at both operational and senior levels, with the ability to distil complex information
- Experience developing and maintaining reporting and dashboards
- Providing thought leadership in organisational change management
- Track record of achieving deadlines in a high-pressure environment with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and take accountability for deliverables and outcomes
- Excellent collaboration skills with an interest in peers and stakeholders to actively build collaborative spirit with a supportive demeanour
