We came into the energy market in 2004 to shake things up and we’ve been doing a good job of it ever since. We’re all about providing you and your community with something better. Unusual for an energy provider, we know, but we’re not your normal energy company. We’re completely owned by Snowy Hydro for starters, so we’re 100% Aussie.
This is an inbound phone based sales role and on any given day, you’ll be speaking to people from all across Australia in many different walks of life to help them make an informed decision on their energy needs. No two customers are exactly the same, and your job will be to build rapport with our potential customers, tailor a product or benefit to the individual and encourage them to make the switch over to Red. You will also help arrange electricity connections for people moving into a new home and make sure that every customer you speak with wants to stay with us and wants to refer their friends and family.
Our stunning office is a recently renovated state of the art building steeped in history, is pet-friendly (not just dogs either) and has foosball tables, tennis courts and a beautiful outdoor rooftop with barbecues that we loved to take advantage of when the weather is good Located in Cremorne, public transport is no issue as we are walking distance from South Yarra, East Richmond and Richmond train stations. We are also just a short walk from the iconic Chapel Street shopping district and the Melbourne Cricket Ground where you can catch some of the best sporting and entertainment events in Australia.
**Important details**:
- Rotating roster, working between the hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday, and the occasional Saturday between 9:00am - 5:00pm.
- Average yearly earnings of $76,000 (A guaranteed base plus 11% super plus commissions) with strong performers earning much more.
- Work from the comfort of your own home or our incredible Bryant and May building

**What you will need to succeed in this role**:
- Ability to communicate with clarity and a friendly tone.
- Capacity to maintain focus, stamina and optimism when dealing with objections.
- Basic computer literacy and problem solving skills.
