We are seeking an Assistant Coordination Officer to provide project and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of local and regional initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment, has a strong background in customer service, and can communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats. You will play a key role in engaging with stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication, and supporting project teams in achieving their goals.
**About the Role**
As an Assistant Coordination Officer, you will:
- Engage with stakeholders in a professional and customer-focused manner, ensuring clear and responsive communication.
- Provide project and operational support, monitoring progress and ensuring milestones and deliverables align with project objectives.
- Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies.
- Communicate effectively across various formats, ensuring messages are clear, concise, and tailored to different audiences for effective stakeholder engagement
- Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation, reports, and communications while upholding high professional standards.
- Conduct research and analysis on assigned project areas, interpreting operational policies and procedures to support informed decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of project briefs and reports to support planning and execution.
- Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions, ensuring queries are handled effectively and professionally.
- Provide administrative and secretariat support, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing relevant documents.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, develop efficient work practices, and contribute to crisis response efforts in other local or regional areas when needed.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong customer service mindset, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and professional support with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and professionally across different formats.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and project coordination.
- Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in project support, or administration, ideally within a government, emergency management, or community-focused setting.
- Experience in a customer-focused role, with the ability to engage professionally, build strong relationships, and provide support to stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to contribute to team objectives and assist in crisis events as required.
In addition to this, you will also meet the following essential requirements:
- An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
- Current unrestricted NSW drivers’ licence.

**About the Agency**
