**About the role**

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have responsibility to ensure the services and presentation of the hotel guest and events spaces are maintained and delivered as part of the overall guest experience. This includes:

- Maintain the hotel infrastructure, plant and equipment and overall presentation of facilities.
- Lead the maintenance operation including the internal maintenance team, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Schedule and prioritise maintenance needs and activities with the hotel and conference areas, being mindful of guests and events and customer service outcomes.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and schedules as part of an annual program.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and review of sustainability practices in all facets.
- Train, develop and direct the maintenance team to provide a great team environment and exceptional operational and service levels.
- Define and coordinate compliance and legislative requirements for plant and equipment within building.
- Establish standards and procedures for safe, productive and an emphasis on quality outcomes.
- Set department objectives, work schedules and budgets.
- In liaison with the General Manager, set asset replacement and capital projects to maintain the plant and equipment and building services.
- Liaise with other department managers to set training and operation procedures to maintain facilities and guest service.

**About you**
- Previous experience of large scales facilities.
- Extensive working knowledge of facilities management and operations.
- Appropriate trade qualification, preferably electrical.
- Knowledge and ability in workplace health and safety and building standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to project manage, setting timelines and qualitive outcomes.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, training and development skills with the ability to lead and motivate.
- Proficiency with Office software and building management software
