**About the Role**
- **Job Location: 1 Spring Street**
The Road Safety Evaluation Coordinator provides specialist technical advice on research and the evaluation of infrastructure and non infrastructure initiatives to drive the delivery of consistent, high-quality research and evaluations for road safety projects and programs. This includes championing quality insights, working with colleagues across Road Safety Victoria (RSV) and the road safety partnership to identify evaluation frameworks, embed best-practice methodologies, developing and monitoring ongoing project pipeline and identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
The role is responsible for developing frameworks, survey designs, and systems as needed to support Evaluation projects/ programs across RSV and help communicate key findings to the internal stakeholders. The role will assist in creating, monitoring and updating a research repository that enables efficiencies across RSV as policy development is embarked upon.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills will be essential to enabling the research and non-infrastructure evaluation capability uplift for RSV but also supporting through the partnership and delivery agencies. The role will also work closely with external vendors and internal Department’s transport data/ research teams to ensure road safety is included as a key outcome in broader transport research and policy activities.

**Position Outcomes**
- Build project evaluation scope and framework based on the business case.
- Provide technical support to evaluation projects, including reviewing evaluation reports and providing comments.
- Ensure the development of a strong technical understanding of road safety project/ program evaluation, to ensure timely and accurate technical support can be provided to all stakeholders.
- Identify and manage key technical risks related to evaluation projects.
- Implement appropriate strategies and processes to manage technical obligations, requirements, and issues, including conducting necessary environmental scanning to identify, and appropriate escalate, technical risks/concerns.
- Ensure technical standards and directions in relation to all aspects of project/ program evaluation are fit for purpose and implement change processes as necessary.
- Review programs and procedures including recommending and implementing necessary modifications to improve efficiency and effectiveness in evaluation projects.
- Advocate continuous innovation in the evaluation process.
**Qualifications and Experience**
**Mandatory**
- Knowledge and experience in road safety Evaluations, research and the safe system approach
- Extensive experience in research and evaluation
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders
