- paced environment.
**Tasks include but are not limited to**:
- Work with CEO and Marketing and Retail Managers to develop an innovative NPD strategy and pipeline on a 6 month cycle.
- Responsible for the NPD calendar and producing all launches on time and within budget.
- Identify, source and develop on brand product concepts for new product ranges
- Manage all phases of formula development, packaging and new product innovation, including all briefing, sourcing and communication with contract manufacturers, chemists and labs.
- Manage production, approvals and review batch submissions, including maintaining an archive of library of samples of prior packaging and retain production samples -including approvals.
- Introduce the business to a network of global beauty manufacturers and establish relationships with existing third party suppliers and laboratories to develop best-in-class formulas
- Manage timelines to ensure delivery, correct allocation to retailers and on time launch.
- Develop COGS worksheets for all new launches or product changes including product forecast and inventory requirements.
- Oversee all stock management requirements and develop plans to manage deletions & stock exits.
- Manage and execute on all stock write-offs as approved by CEO.
- Complete product evaluation, planning and forecasting for all new launches
- Adhere to quality control standards, policies and procedures including consumer testing.
- Attend innovation tradeshows - locally and globally.
- Liaise with local and international authorities to register and then monitor the registration of products throughout their lifecycle
- Ensure product registrations are complete in-time for product launches
**Financials**
- Manage reporting on all financials for the ModelCo product range - including a pricing strategy.
- Responsible for achieving sales and COGS targets for ModelCo Brands.
- Confidently negotiate cost of goods to get the best outcome for the business
- Managing within product sampling budget and achieving and reporting on product sampling initiatives.
- Provide input into annual forecast for the brand and monthly reporting on progress in the monthly P&L narrative
**YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Experience within Skincare/ Beauty industry is a MUST
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and NPD experiences
- Experience with product registration for global markets is beneficial
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Tertiary qualified
- Strong negotiating skills
- Demonstrable and impressive track record of achievement in revenue growth, management of budgets and developing relationships with agency and publisher partners
- Exceptional project management skills
- Great interpersonal communication skills and well-presented
- Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- The ability to work under pressure
- Highly organized with the ability to forecast and forward plan
- An understanding of the cosmetics and general beauty industry is essential
- An instinct for style and an eye for aesthetics.
- A good communicator and can build relationships with a network of suppliers
