**Daily tasks and responsibilities**:

- Counts and checks merchandise against freight bill. Opens boxes and cartons with box knife to verify product and counts. Signs freight bill as the second receiver.
- Stacks bed-loaded merchandise or merchandise from damaged or unacceptable pallets onto Costco - approved pallets. Separated mixed item pallets for checking.
- Keys received goods into computer using radio frequency computer gun. Uses gin to order the printing of pallet tags and UPC stickers.
- Scans product with radio frequency gun to verify UPC and item. Notifies Receiving Manager of any mis - marked, damaged, or mis - shipped items. Re - labels bad UPC product.
- Wraps pallets of double - received goods with plastic wrap for transport to the floor or steel by Forklift Drivers. Creates and attaches pallet tags.
- Loads merchandise and empty pallets to be shipped out onto trucks using manual pallet jack and hand truck. Assists in unloading trucks and first receiving.
- Cleans up and clears the receiving dock of any debris or trip hazards. Follows safety procedures.
- Monitors all merchandise into and out of the building. Monitors people entering or leaving the building prior to opening for secure building access and follows security procedures.
- Provides prompt and courteous member service. Helps members to load large items in their trolley and auto, directs members to products, relates product status know
- Processes faulty items that need to be returned to the vendor via rasing a claim with the vendor
- processing salvage items that are sold to a 3rd party salvage company
- processes damaged and destroyed stock

**Non - Essential Functions and Tasks**:

- Forklift Licence is a plus but not essential
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
- Must undergo and return a satisfactory police check
