**Job Title**: Support Worker

**Location**: Coburg, VIC

**Employment Type**: Full-Time / Part-Time / Casual

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, transferring, and repositioning clients safely and in accordance with training and guidelines.
- Support clients in participating in community activities and social engagements.
- Administer medication and assist with medical appointments as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
- Participate in the SERA (Support and Empowerment for Resilience and Adaptability) study to enhance client care and support strategies.

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with manual handling.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients.

**Desirable**:

- Experience with specific manual handling equipment (e.g., hoists, slide sheets).
- Knowledge of NDIS and experience working within the NDIS framework.

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

- Monday to Friday

- Night shift
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
