**The Role**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Capability Analyst to support the Woomera Range Complex (WRC) capability. The WRC, located in outback South Australia, is Defence’s premier training area for the conduct of test and evaluation, and research and development of complex weapon systems.

This is a long-term program working in the Directorate of Security within Air Capability Enablers Branch - Air Force Headquarters. You will support the Commonwealth in the management, coordination and governance of WRC within an integrated workforce.

You will coordinate stakeholder engagement activities across various Defence groups and services, performing complex writing and analytical work within a capability environment. You will be accountable for having the knowledge of and ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

**About our Team**
Join a small team of military and national security professionals that work collaboratively with a wide variety of Defence experts, institutions and processes, to ensure strong management, coordination and governance of the Woomera Range Complex (WRC). The WRC sits within Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) under Air Capability Enablers Branch - Air Force (ACEBR-AF).

The Directorate reports to senior military officers and develops agendum papers for senior Defence Committees for ministerial submission. Team members produce analysis and briefs and assist in policy development both individually and collectively, represent their area and have opportunities to become familiar with how Air Force and Defence works at the strategic Headquarters level.

We are seeking a highly motivated, resilient and collaborative individual to work cohesively in a team to analyse and solve complex capability related issues.
- Lead and prepare the development of agendum and issues papers and minutes for capability committees.
- Have expertise in capability development processes including government approvals to progress capability development initiatives within Defence.
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate effectively to deliver business outcomes.
- Evaluate, independently analyse and provide advice on capability proposals, including assessments of the strategic context, options, resource implications, and risks.
- Be accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes, sharing their own expertise with others to achieve continuous improvement in the work area.
