**Who are we looking for?**
We are seeking a Manager, Disability and Accessibility Services to join Student Services, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.
The Manager, Disability and Accessibility Services works collaboratively with the Student Services team to promote support services for students and to provide leadership, coordination, advice and partnership-building across QUT.

**About the area**
The Student Services and Wellbeing portfolio leads the university-wide strategy and coordination of all non-academic matters related to the student experience. The portfolio delivers a range of services across the student life cycle, as well as providing advice and leadership to the university on a broad range of student and staff matters, including social justice and public policy.
The departments within the portfolio include: Student Administration, Student Engagement, Equity, Student Services and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). The portfolio also has strong links to and works closely with QUT’s Oodgeroo Unit, Student Success Group and Human Resources.
The portfolio is focused on delivering services to support the university’s commitment to an exceptional student experience, leading to positive outcomes in success, retention and completion. This includes developing a campus culture which is inclusive, safe, and respectful for all students and staff.
Student Services is responsible for providing a range of services to support the health and wellbeing of students in areas of Accommodation, Chaplaincy, Counselling, Disability and Accessibility Support, International Student Support, Welfare and Financial Support Services and QUT Medical Centres..
**What you need to succeed**
1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a postgraduate qualification combined with extensive relevant experience.
2. Highly developed interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex information with stakeholders and audiences (internal and external) from diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority, and to establish operational and strategic partnerships across organisational boundaries.
3. Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse complex organisational issues, related to employment or educational equity, and develop relevant policy and strategic responses for university consideration.
4. Demonstrated success in leading and managing a team to deliver high quality services.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams in a large organisation, within established policy frameworks with delegated authority.
6. Proven knowledge and understanding of policy, legislation, and current issues related to disability services and education in the higher education sector.
