**Hourly Rate: $55.72 to $58.19 / h, based on relevant experience.**

**About the Role**

As the **Team Leader**, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality services to children, youth, and families in statutory care. You’ll provide practice oversight, mentoring, and operational leadership to ensure safe, inclusive, and effective service delivery for our **Ashmore Team.**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Oversee intake, assessment, and care planning processes
- Supervise and mentor support workers and practitioners
- Collaborate with families, carers, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with child protection legislation and best practice
- Promote culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service innovation
- Participate in after-hours and on-call support as required

**What We’re Looking For**

We’re seeking a confident, values-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

**You’ll bring**:

- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related field
- At least **3 years’ experience** in child protection or youth/family services
- ** 1+ years’ experience leading a team** in a care or support setting
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems, including familiarity with Child Protection Act 1999 and DFV legislation.
- Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families and communities in an organisational context.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- A current driver’s licence.
- Possess a current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) - or ability to acquire
