Test Analyst

We are looking for multiple Test Analysts to join a global financial services organisation on a Permanent basis. The roles are based in Brisbane with hybrid working model in place.

**Role Description**
The roles has responsibility for the business and functional design testing, analysis of the company’s global platform capabilities, business processes and end to end testing (including supporting client UAT as required).
You work both independently and within a client aligned development team within existing IT systems and business models, analyse requirements (both business and technical) and to translate these into test artefacts and knowledge base documentation. The test analyst is also required to work closely with IT developers and Product Analysts to provide oversight and clarity on testing of the development solution.
The test analyst will be involved in all aspects of testing from the more technical testing approaches including test automation, database manipulation and xml injection testing to functional specification testing and supporting UAT.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the platform functionality and business processes related to their nominated functional area.
- Working closely with customers (internal) to develop solutions and testing these solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Attend workshops when required and provide input into requirements testing.
- Work closely with Solution Consultants to understand the agreed scope of a change and design solutions that meet the customers business and technical requirements within that defined scope.
- Understanding the features that make up the solution from the end user perspective, ensuring associated test artefacts are documented accurately.
- Review and understand user stories that make up the assigned feature(s)
- Work with developers and managers to ensure testing of business requirements are met and kept up to date.
- Ensure the testing of new business developments adhere to procedural and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Perform cross functional collaboration to address gaps in the business and technical solution through shift left testing.
- Identify and document any non-functional test requirements related to the functionality.
- Provide guidance and clarity to technical resources around the test requirements and user stories.
- Ensure acceptance criteria for each story is defined and covers both positive and negative testing scenarios using correct BDD syntax to feed into automation tests.
- Write/Produce artefacts to support testing activities such as Test Designs, Test Matrices, Test Cases, Test Procedures, Test Scripts and Behavioural Models.
- Perform structured and context-driven (formal /ad-hoc) system, system integration and regression testing as required.
- Author reusable tests and conducting end to end system, regression and mis-use case testing as part of the production readiness process.
- Use internal defect tracking and test case management system(s) to document test cases, record defects and record test case execution results.

**Experience Required**:

- Experience with both manual and automation testing
- Experience with one or more of BDD/Cucumber, XRay, Test Driven Development, Postman etc.
- Financial Services/Banking/Capital Markets/wealth management domain experience highly desirable
- Confident, and able to take initiative given client

Please note, these roles are based in Brisbane and require 2-3 days per week in the office. Fulltime remote work is not on offer.
