**Primary Products Inspector**

G A A & P Randello Pty Ltd is a small, family-owned and operated business that manages farms in Melbourne’s western suburbs and distributes fresh produce to local retailers.

We are looking for a Primary Products Inspector to support our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated worker with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety for our business.

The successful applicant will have great communication skills and proven on the job experience maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders across the fresh food supply chain.

**What we are looking for**:

- Current qualifications in quality assurance in the horticulture sector or a related field

or

3 years on the job experience in quality assurance in the horticulture sector
- Driver’s licence
- A valid Police Check
- Keen observational and investigative skills
- Have good monitoring, communication and reporting skills and a positive, professional manner
- Work independently and have excellent time management skills

**Your tasks will include**:

- Inspecting fresh vegetable produce to identify quality issues and provide advice to management.
- Audit and monitor quality procedures in the shed and food handling and processing facilities to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Ensure that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles.
- Advise on the identification of pests and diseases pertaining to grading, packing and loading of products.
- Support the general farm manager

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
