We are looking for an enthusiastic part time Medical Receptionist for our growing Gastroenterology practice who can provide excellent service to our patients and outstanding secretarial support to our specialists. You would be required to work between our two centres at Mater Private Redlands and Springwood approximately 25-30 hours per week and be able to cover for staff on annual leave/sick leave.

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Providing professional reception services during patient clinics
- Billing and receipting
- Appointment book management
- Preparation for clinics including liaison with patients, referrers and other health care providers.
- Preparation of theatre lists
- Liaising with hospitals and anaesthetists
- Correspondence and patient enquiries
- Scanning and maintaining patient records
- Answering incoming calls and making appointments for multiple surgeons
- Medical typing (dictation)

Essential skills and attributes required:

- Proven track record in excellent patient service
- Polite and professional telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
- Positive outlook and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate a dedicated work ethic.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Health Fund billing protocols
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a computerised Medical Practice
- Experience in use of medical software (Gentu an advantage)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
