**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing professional guidance to applicants and the public on planning and regulatory matters
- Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with approved development conditions
- Preparing and presenting reports and written correspondence for both internal and public audiences
- Collaborating with senior planners and contributing to ongoing policy development
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to the Council’s standards for safety and environmental management
- Representing the Council at community meetings and effectively communicating complex information

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Strong ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in person
- Resilient, professional, and capable of managing a high workload
- Experience in handling inquiries and providing quality customer service
- **A strong understanding and experience with NSW Planning regulations is vital**:

- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Coastal, rural, and commercial planning experience is beneficial but not mandatory
