The Office of Professional Leadership (OPLE) provides professional advice and leadership across the ACT health system to help achieve safe, appropriate and effective health care for the ACT community. OPLE consists of the following profession leads - the Chief Allied Health Officer, the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Psychiatrist, the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, and the Director of the Academic Unit of General Practice - and their staff.

We are seeking a values-based leader for the role of Executive Officer. As the Executive Officer you will be required to coordinate the work of our division; upward manage Executives and Directors; provide advice based on risks and achievements; lead a small team; engage with and motivate stakeholders to progress work; manage a constant workload in a fast paced environment against competing priorities to meet tight deadlines; and prepare and quality assure complex briefs, papers and other high level documents.

The role also consists of managing and coordinating policies, Cabinet, ACT Legislative Assembly, Ministerial, briefings, Directorate coordination and other related requests we may receive. You will be a key part of ensuring coherent, timely, high-quality advice, briefing and information to Ministers, the Director-General, Directorate executives and other internal and external stakeholders as required.

We need someone who has strong communication skills, can collaborate and foster effective relationships and is pro-active, organised and can work well under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
