**How will I help?**

As a Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring with BT financial Group you will play a role in implementing and managing risk management and monitoring obligations in the Strategy & Product BCM team, supporting consistent implementation, and embedding of risk management framework, policies and controls.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

- As part of a team of risk professionals, contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group.
- Providing risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
- Supporting the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and ownership of risk throughout the business.
- Providing support to the business in developing their risk profile, including defining and operationalising relevant RAS metrics, in line with risk appetite.
- Partnering with stakeholders to identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices in the business.
- Providing risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis and remediation of incidents.
- Providing input to regulatory requests and remediation and support the delivery of remediation programs.

**What do I need?**

You will have commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically, be innovative and to achieve objectives in a changing environment. Be proactive, organised, outcomes and customer focussed as well as have strong investigative, enquiry questioning, written and oral communication skills.

Your experience in quality assurance, control testing, risk culture development and execution, along with relationship building, teamwork, influencing and negotiating skills, will see you succeed in this role.
