Pilbara Environment Services (PES) is all about the land. A recognized leader in regional and remote heavy industrial cleaning, waste management and environmental support services in the Pilbara region. PES manages all aspects of the environment to ensure it remains sustainable for future generations. We specialize in industrial services and waste management projects in the mining, manufacturing, oil and gas sectors. Our services include heavy industrial cleaning and support services, bin hire and design, recycling, collection and transport of all types of waste and dangerous goods.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in this newly created role playing a crucial part of our journey to a standalone business.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the PES people structure, policies and systems - leaning on the joint venture partners for best in class process and performance.
- Partnering with managers and employees to provide day to day operational support and advice, including leading end to end ER/IR case management, performance management and change management activities.
- Provide expertise in areas such as talent management, organizational development delivering fit for purpose solutions and trusted advice, to implement strategic HR initiatives.
- Some local travel (Karratha) may be required.

Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in HR and/or Business or other related discipline required.
- 5+ years’ working experience in a generalist business partner role required. Experience in a standalone role highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in and working knowledge of broad HR functions, including Employee and Industrial Relations, Award Interpretation, change management and talent management.
- Sound experience in Human Resources/Employee Relations, specifically within a blue collar and heavily unionised workforce, working across award / agreement interpretation, disputes, grievances, investigations and complex performance management, including providing advice and coaching to employees and leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, build and maintain trusted and effective working relationships and partnerships with management, colleagues, and other internal and external stakeholders including the ability to influence and negotiate to produce efficient and effective outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing HR challenges.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
