**About the Role**:
Our client is seeking for a **Logistics Officer** to work within DSD to manage security equipment and work closely with Technical Team Leaders assist in the completion of security installations overseas.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Logistics support of security equipment, including:

- Manage project equipment stocks and assist DSD Project Manager with procurements to maintain required stock levels.
- Manage deliveries and storage of project equipment within DFAT Canberra and at offsite storage locations.
- Preparation and management of shipments to overseas missions.
- Maintain an inventory/register to control all security equipment at overseas destinations and in storage in Australia.
- Undertake stocktake and audit of domestic security equipment.
- Work under limited supervision, including planning, prioritising and organising work for self to achieve deadlines.
- Other duties as directed by the Project Manager.

**Skills and Experience**:
**Mandatory**
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in adverse or high stress environments.

- Working in Confined Spaces
- Asbestos Awareness Certification

**Eligibility/Other Requirements**:

- To be eligible for employment for this role, you must be an Australian citizen. Must hold a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance or higher.
