Greater Sydney Parklands (GSP) is a city-wide agency created to become Sydney’s leading urban parks advocate. In partnership with communities and governments, it will plan for and expand great open spaces and parklands and champion the NSW Government’s new 50 Year Vision for Sydney’s Open Space and Parklands.

Greater Sydney Parklands currently brings together five iconic parks across Sydney: Centennial Parklands, Parramatta Park, Western Sydney Parklands, Callan Park and Fernhill Estate.

Made up of collaborative, creative and committed people, Greater Sydney Parklands is looking for **an experienced Sports Program Officer** to provide high-level coordination, research and support services to the Sport and Recreation team and contributes to the achievement of the organisation’s objectives and strategies through community and stakeholder engagement, venue management, revenue generation and product development support.

**About you**

Your high-level communication and customer service skills will see you providing high quality customer service and information to the general public, hirers regarding recreation and sporting opportunities.

**In this role you will also**
- Assist in the development, review and communication of relevant information material, product and resources to sport and recreation related stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, capable of negotiating positive outcomes and building support for the implementation of products.
- Provide support the seasonal and casual bookings administration, including managing payments and undertaking financial management procedures as required for users of sport and recreation facilities.
- Monitor the use of equipment and facilities, identify and report on maintenance requirements, and implement remedial action as required, to ensure that risks are adequately managed.
- Undertake research, analysis and report on developing trends within the sport industry and contribute to decision making, goal setting and planning to identify opportunities that increase the use of community sports and recreation facilities.
- Maintain administration systems and relevant databases in relation to regular sporting user groups, facility allocation, membership and contact details to ensure accurate record keeping.
- Monitor compliance with booking terms and operational guidelines to ensure safe and effective usage of public sporting facilities across the portfolio.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Extensive experience in office administration, financial administration and records management systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.

**Essential requirements**
- Current Australian driver’s licence as the role may be required to drive between sports and recreation facilities - vehicle is provided.
