Our host company in the Dry Creek area is looking for a mechanically minded individual with some experience to undertake a **Certificate III Engineering Mechanical - Maintenance Fitter** Apprenticeship with them. Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre have a vacancy for a **Maintenance Fitter Apprentice** with our host employer based in the Dry Creek Area.

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation who employs apprentices and trainees then places them with Host Organisations. We provide support for all apprentices and trainees by way of our mentoring program which fits in with regular visits to the workplace and TAFE.

**Your duties include**:

- Operate and adjust production machines
- Run diagnostic checks, and troubleshoot to identify problems in production
- Design new components and systems using CAD/CAM systems
- Repair machines and build components in repair of facilities
- Use programs to monitor machine processes and performance
- Perform changeovers/setups, preventative maintenance, and fault finding
- Examine and evaluate specifications for the requirements for a task
- Operate and adjust machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
- Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools and welding equipment
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Year 11 schooling
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Positive approach to workplace safety

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Must be an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia
