Maintenance Tradesperson

**About the role**:
We are looking for a qualified and hands-on **Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson**

to join our maintenance team in **Eastern Creek**on a full-time basis.

A hands-on role responsible for keeping automated sortation systems and freight handling equipment running efficiently across our depots. This role focuses on **preventative maintenance**, **breakdown repairs**, and **continuous system improvements**, ensuring mínimal downtime and smooth operations.

- Monday to Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM
- Overtime if required

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and repair sortation and freight handling systems
- Respond rapidly to mechanical faults or breakdowns
- Follow preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
- Use MEX (computerised maintenance system) to manage tasks
- Keep tools, parts, and equipment organised and safe
- Work collaboratively with depot operations teams
- Support improvement initiatives for systems and procedures

**Certificates**:

- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical)
- **essential**

**Desirable Experience**
- Conveyor systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Basic understanding of PLCs, VSDs, and SCADA systems
- Exposure to freight and logistics operations (highly regarded)

**Safety & Compliance**
- Actively promote and model safe work practices
- Adhere to OHS legislation and Team Global Express policies
- Participate in inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Ensure ongoing safety training and equipment checks
