**We are currently seeking a Stock Control and Purchasing Teamlead in our Building Supplies store in Brookvale**.**
**Job Overview**
As the Stock Control and Purchasing Teamlead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the operational aspects of our purchasing and product supervision functions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing ordering processes, maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring shop appearance standards, executing promotional activities, and coordinating with suppliers. You will report directly to the Store Manager and supervise staff to achieve seamless integration and efficient operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead ordering processes, collaborating with the store manager and training staff on order suggestions.
- Maintain efficient stock control measures, adjusting stock levels as needed and overseeing stock counts.
- Enhance shop appearance by coordinating cleaning activities and resolving any damages promptly.
- Develop and execute impactful product and supplier promotions in collaboration with the store manager.
- Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate effectively, and foster strong relationships for mutual benefit.
- Oversee purchasing and receipting processes, implementing efficient procedures and training programs.
**Key Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of purchasing processes.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective team management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
