BC Sands has built a solid reputation as a trusted supplier in the landscape and building materials industry. We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team at our Brookvale office. This is an exciting full-time opportunity where you will play a key role in supporting our procurement functions.
**The Role**
As the Purchasing Officer in Brookvale, you will ensure smooth operations within the purchasing department. You will oversee functions related to stock management, procurement administration and maintaining positive supplier relationships for the Brookvale branch.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor stock levels at the Brookvale branch, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure all materials are accurately tracked and recorded.
- Raise purchase orders for products from suppliers.
- Receipt invoices accurately.
- Ensure the timely availability of materials to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable service and timely deliveries.
**What You Will Bring to the Role**
- Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management procedures.
- Experience using PRONTO or similar software.
- Knowledge of financial record-keeping and control procedures.
- High attention to detail.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new skills.
