About the Role

The Director, PMO is a new role at Development Victoria established to lead an internal Project Management Office (PMO) for all of Development Victoria’s delivery activities for infrastructure and Villages to support the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The role has a primary focus on establishing, implementing and monitoring a project management and control system for all elements of the portfolio of projects DV has responsibility for delivering as part of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The role will report into the Group Head, Commonwealth Games and support the Senior Directors, Venues and Villages (two roles) responsible for delivering the major infrastructure works program (Venues) and the regional villages program (Villages).

The role will form part of a central leadership team for co-ordination and delivery of the 2026 Commonwealth Games Venues and Villages program.

- You will be able to demonstrate high level management expertise in the delivery of high profile, complex, multidisciplinary projects
- You possess strong leadership skills and are experienced in the management of small high performing teams.
- You are able to foster and develop relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels across all sectors of government and industry; within complex and sensitive major project environments.
- Demonstrable ability in using Cost Management estimating techniques, software and databases including 3-point estimates, Monte Carlo risk-based cost estimation.
- Exceptional Communication skills, both verbally and through timely, clear and concise written project reports and briefs for internal stakeholders and government stakeholders.
