A truly exciting and unique opportunity is available to join the John Holland NSW Building business as a Female Participation Advisor working across a major Sydney Health Infrastructure Project, The Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.

John Holland have partnered with the NSW Governments Department of Education to work and deliver on the Women in Construction Program a pilot extension of the ISLP (Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program) which aims to address skills shortages and increase diversity in the construction sector.

**About the role**

The role of Female Participation Advisor will be to identify opportunities, develop and implement strategies across our major Health infrastructure project to increase the number of women in trades and women in non-traditional roles to achieve targets set out by the Women in Construction - ISLP Program.

The Female Participation Advisor will also provide high level strategic analysis and advice to the Department of Education, as well as John Holland, with the aim to increase participation by 2030 to;
- 4% of the trades workforce to be women
- 7% of the project workforce to be women in non-traditional roles

**Some responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to;**
- Work closely with local schools and the Department’s Regional Industry Education Partnership program to promote careers for girls in construction
- Work with Project Manager in managing direct employed and subcontractors’ female employees to facilitate retention and pipeline development
- Engage and build a close working relationship with local community, Workforce Australia providers, working groups, local business, and local government on training and employment opportunities and benefits for the ISLP Women in Construction Project
- Build positive relationships through influence and negotiation with employees, managers, subcontractors and external stakeholder groups across the business
- Identify opportunities and access for training, education and upskilling for women.
- Record the relevant participation and employment data for women for reporting at the end of the month
- Provide a high level activity report outlining strategies engaged on the project to meet the targets for women, as well as a qualitative analysis to the Department of Education
- Deliver presentations, facilitate meetings and engage with various work groups to achieve desired outcomes
- Liaise with all stakeholders to facilitate and coordinate opportunities for media events
