Quality Manager

Interesting role for a strategic Quality Manager to drive quality management process and best practice over a program of work

As the Quality Manager you will be assisting the Program and Project Managers with quality planning and quality expectations. This is a separate role to the Test Manager, reporting into the PMO manager you will be focussed on providing strategic quality management advice, processes, best practices, frameworks and documentation. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be highly collaborative and tenacious when getting information, and (most importantly) have a passion for Quality.

**Main tasks and activities**:

- Refine existing quality management processes in line with department requirements and assist in the establishment of best practices and frameworks, supporting the overall governance and controls
- Establish a quality system - including the structures, procedures and processes to implement quality management that is effective to manage quality expectations across the program
- Assist the Program and Project Managers with quality planning and documentation of product quality expectations, and ensure that specified quality criteria are met
- Undertake quality assurance preparations and activities for gate reviews and quality reviews to assess the conformity of products against set criteria
- Maintain and enhance information management systems including business classification schemes, information retention and disposal activities, and electronic systems
- Provide support and training to the Program staff in information management policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with information management standards
- Undertake the role of Content Manager administrator to ensure effective management of templates for documents, file types, document databases, and security of confidential documents.
- Track compliance to policies and procedures and resolve / escalate any compliance issues.
- Proactively contribute RAID activities, including review and oversight of mitigation strategies, escalations, and RAID reporting - e.g., identifying risks impacting quality expectations

**Experience and skills**:

- Minimum five years in a Quality Assurance, Quality Manager, or Project Assurance, role;
- Proven experience embedding quality practices and performing gate reviews within a State Government program;
- Proven experience managing information for compliance with legislation and/or standards, particularly Queensland Government policies and best-practice standards;
- Strong experience supporting the delivery of large-scale projects of substantial size and complexity;
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships and influence key stakeholders;
- Experience operating within large and complex ICT programs of work with a strong business focus;
- Strong problem-solving facilitation skills;
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple and different stakeholder groups concurrently;
- Demonstrated experience working within transformation programs/projects;
- Highly developed collaboration skills with business and technical stakeholders;
- Tenacious, well organised and able to manage people effectively;
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage with competing priorities;
- Experience in M365 tool set, including MS Teams and SharePoint;
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and data management principles, including technologies and processes, would be highly regarded;
