The Brite Plants Team Member has responsibility for the achievement of production goals and meeting deadlines for customer orders.

The Brite Plants Nursery Team Member will:

- Work as part of a team
- Ensure production goals at the required level of quality
- Maintain safety and quality standards
- Contribute to maintaining quality accreditation

Role responsibilities encompass tasks within these areas:

- General Nursery
- Accreditation and Quality Management
- OH&S

**Working at Brite**

Working at Brite often requires working alongside vulnerable people. Due to the nature of our work, we require all team members to complete a NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check.

**Position responsibilities**

**General Nursery**
- Interprets orders to organise and set up jobs
- Organises appropriate equipment and machinery to run production
- Assist plants production team with weeding and maintenance of plants when required.
- Assist team with general nursery maintenance tasks.
- Liaise with plants team to meet production requirements.
- Monitors production processes and where necessary modifies to improve efficiency.
- Monitors and maintains quality standards.
- Picking and clean-up of orders for customer ensuring quality standards are met
- Follows safety policies and procedures and maintains safety standards
- Trouble shoots and problem solves routine day to day operational matters
- Maintain an aesthetically pleasing working area
- Assist with updating and maintaining current plant inventory

**Knowledge, **skills,** and experience**

**Essential**
- Relevant Horticultural experience (evidence of) or qualifications
- Great teamwork skills
- Have the ability to work autonomously under limited supervision.
- Elevated level of judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to set workplace priorities.

**Desirable**
- Basic Experience in working with people with disabilities, preferably within a disability employment service.
- Computer literate and abreast of current technology.

**Additional** **requirements**
- Current Drivers Licence.
- NDIS Working Screening Clearance and Working with Children check.
- Physical Fitness Requirements- Lifting and carrying: Ability to lift and carry heavy pots, bags of soil, plants, and other nursery items. For example, lifting pots weighing up to 20 kilograms and carrying them short distances- Bending and stooping: Ability to bend, stoop, and squat repeatedly, as nursery work often involves tending to plants at ground level or in lower shelves.- Walking and standing: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as nursery work involves moving around the nursery to water plants, organize stock, and assist customers.- Pushing and pulling: Ability to push and pull carts or trolleys loaded with plants or supplies around the nursery.- A medical exam is a requirement for Full-time or Part-time positions.
