- We are looking for an advertising research rockstar to join the band in the JAPAC region This role will be an integral part of the broader Advertising Sciences (AdSci) team - driving our value proposition with advertisers and media agencies by demonstrating the power of Spotify as a media partner across the ANZ region. It’s an outstanding opportunity to blend both media effectiveness and audience insights research functions into a unique, hybrid role.

What You'll Do
- Execute campaign measurement studies across key clients and verticals within the JAPAC region, inclusive of brand lift, podcasts, viewability, and audience verification solutions
- Work extensively across all areas of attitudinal survey research - survey design, project management, data integrity and fieldwork supervision, troubleshooting, data analysis, storytelling and presentation
- Provide critical media industry expertise - staying ahead of industry trends, research & measurement methodologies, and 3rd party partnerships, informing Spotify's measurement strategy accordingly
- Educate internal and external partners on media performance trends and best practices to inform business decisions across our business
- Collaborate heavily within AdSci to build compelling, multi-source, advertising research stories that educate our sellers, marketers and clients
- Extract insights from large and diversified data/results, provide hypotheses, and use insights to answer ad sales, marketing, and business development questions
- Uncover insights about general consumer behaviour and trends to answer strategic questions about media consumption on and off of Spotify
- Use innovative tools to go beyond syndicated media research reporting, answering questions in new and bigger ways with surprising insights that are differentiated from competitors

Who You Are
- At least 4+ years of experience in digital advertising research at a research vendor, media owner, advertiser or agency partner
- Strong background in quantitative advertising research, with skills designing and analyzing quantitative research studies
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and storytelling, going beyond the “what” to tell the “why” within research results
- Hands-on and inherently curious, and go above and beyond if you find data taking you to interesting and/or unexpected places
- Previous usage of SQL required (experience with other big data tools such as R, Python, SPSS a plus)
- Strong understanding of the digital and radio media and advertising landscapes
- Experience working with 3rd party research tools including comScore, Nielsen, Kantar, eMarketer, MRI, and Social Analytics tools
- Experience with custom survey programming and data analysis software desired
- Global research experience and foreign language skills are a plus
- Self-starter who gets stuck into projects and works on your own initiative without needing direction
- Positive and collaborative teammate who values building strong relationships with colleagues and team members
