**Selection Criteria**:
- KSC 1 Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Department of Education and Training Finance software systems including Cases21, EduPay and SRP, external software including Microsoft Office and Compass and an extensive understanding of the policies and obligations relating to school finances.
- KSC 2 Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, impartiality, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and the school community
- KSC 3 Demonstrated experience working with financial systems, policies, reporting, and process improvements to strengthen school performance, whilst remaining compliant with DET finance policies and procedures.

**Role**:
- This vacancy is located at our Parkville campus; however, all Parkville College staff may be required to work across other campuses/sites within Parkville College. The role is Full Time and may be required work during school holiday breaks.
- Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
- Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
- An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate a range of functions, in particular Finance and other support areas as needed that contributes significantly to the business management function within the school
- Shared responsibility for all campus-based local payroll analysis
- Oversee all College expenditure and ensure compliance to DE policy.
- End to End Financial processing including all account payable and receivable
- Upload Monthly BAS upload to ATO portal and ensure all tax liabilities are appropriately managed
- Annual FBT Reconciliation
- End of Period processing and reporting, including End of Year rollover.
- Coordination of the college Cash Budget, including monthly reporting to School Leaders and forecasting a projected surplus or deficit.
- Development of monthly executive report for presentation at School Council.
- Coordination of Financial Sub-Committee including liaising with the School Council Treasurer, booking meetings, developing the agenda, presenting items for discussion and taking minutes.
- Management of all lease and rental contracts including, but not limited to vehicles, photocopiers, telecommunications, and property lease agreements.
- Upskill leaders across the college in finance acumen, ensuring they understand all processes and expectations relating to budget management, expenditure and general finance within the education system.
- Coordination of the quarterly Jobs Victoria financial reporting and attend relevant working group meetings.
- Shared responsibility for all asset management including procurement, stocktakes and disposals.
- Compliance to overall DE processes and policies, ensuring Parkville College maintains best practice.
- Responsible for overseeing and coordinating Grants and Donations
- Responsible for all finance related filing and document retention, ensuring compliance to DE and ATO requirements.
- Supervise and mentor ES1-1 or ES1-2 Business & HR staff as required
