Our client in the education sector, seeks a **Payroll Team Leader** to be based in Western Perth.

**About the Opportunity**:

- **Six-month contract role with the potential for permanency.**:

- **$54.00 - $59.66 P.H. plus Superannuation.**
- **Engage with a dynamic team in the Finance department.**

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Financial Compliance, you'll coordinate the team responsible for our client's processes and procedures related to payroll and benefits delivery. You will collaborate with Financial Compliance teams and Human Resources to ensure a timely, accurate, and efficient payroll and benefits service that complies with legislative, industrial, and policy requirements

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead Payroll and Benefits team, supervise, train, and develop staff.
- Monitor legislative changes for compliance and contribute to strategic process improvements.
- Monitor and prepare accounts, provide financial statements and compliance reporting.
- Roll out improvements and interpret policies and legislation.
- Provide advice, query resolution, and training.
- Collaborate for compliance and process improvements.

**About You**:
To be considered for this opportunity, you should:

- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrate equivalent competency.
- Possess substantial and extensive experience in payroll and benefits at an appropriate level.
- Have experience in process improvement and service delivery.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit strong planning and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Showcase leadership and staff management abilities.
- Knowledge of the Alesco payroll system would be advantageous but not essential.
