**About the Role**:
The Financial Compliance and Policy Unit is responsible for key parts of the department's financiaI management framework, and much of the financial management compliance program, across corporate office, schools and preschools. This includes finance policies, the contract and finance delegation framework, legislative compliance, financial management compliance reviews, promoting and improving compliance, finance training and Executive reporting.

The Financial Compliance Officer utilises their expert finance knowledge and work skills to make an important and significant contribution to the department's financial management and compliance outcomes. The role is integral to facilitating ongoing improvements in financial management and internal controls across corporate offices, schools and preschools.

**Desirable**: Holds or is undertaking an appropriate tertiary qualification.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
