The Infrastructure Tribe strives to make ING an evergreen organisation; we do this by providing modern technology, services and work practices that enable the organisation to achieve more. Within the tribe, Platform Services plays a vital for the organisation by providing a set of services around Platform technology including Modern runtimes (Container platform), Database Platforms, Orchestration & Automation capability, File Transfer, Operating system and operational support for the Bank.

This is a leadership role within Infrastructure Tribe, designed to provide accountability for the management of the related services and support in a DevOps and agile working environment. Key purpose of this role is to lead both engineering and services team within Platform Services. You’ll have full responsibility for innovating, modernizing & running the services it develops and ensuring that the Banks’s systems meet the agreed Service levels for availability and reliability to support business outcomes.

**What are you going to do? You will**
- Lead a management team responsible for individuals and squads, both internal and through preferred suppliers (onshore or offshore). Build and expand the engineering practice in the teams.
- Deliver with squads on the portfolio for this year, while making sure the teams operate in an Agile way of working
- Functionally lead a group of experts, IT architects, lead engineers to translate the business priorities into a high level design ready for the squads to prioritise and build
- Be responsible for IT Health (system maintenance, incident and problem management), risk, security and LCM of the products in their tribe or area.
- Be responsible for enabling self-service and automation as much as practical within services and technologies of responsibility.

**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Platform runtime technologies technical design/build/automation experience.
- Demonstrated experience-leading projects in an IT Infrastructure setting.
- Advanced knowledge of Redhat Operating system and management tools, Microsoft systems (Operating system & Database).
- Minimally 3-5 years’ experience in infrastructure technology leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience working with vendors and service providers to achieve excellent service outcomes.
- Preferably IT experience in large corporations or banking systems and financial industry practices.
